Snowman Paint Can & Wearable Pin

Snowman Paint Can & Wearable Pin- Close Up

I really hope that you enjoyed my last post on Tuesday, because I decided to carry on the snowman theme by creating a snowman paint can gift container with a detachable, wearable pin.

This project is fabulous for a few reasons. The first one being that I saved money by using the same rubber stamp on all the projects. Who doesn’t want to save money around the holidays? The second reason is the paint can is the perfect gift container to put your card and ornament in to give to your loved ones. And the last reason is by creating the snowman pin as part of the decoration on the paint can, you can give your loved ones an additional gift with the wearable snowman pin! On top of all of that, it is so darn cute, it’s bound to make your loved ones really happy. What could be better than that?!

If those aren’t reasons enough for you to create this project for your loved ones, let me give you one more. It’s fast and easy to make, and I don’t know about you, but those are two words that I love to hear during the holiday season.

I hope that I have inspired you to try to stop the madness of the holiday season by sitting down, picking up your rubber stamps and scrapbook supplies, and create something fun for your loved ones. You are sure to put a smile on your family’s faces and I guarantee that it will put a smile on yours.

I hope that you enjoy the holidays with your family and friends, and I wish you lots of love, good health and happiness for the holidays and all year long!

 Merry Christmas!

 Lisa

Hi Everyone, Happy Holidays to you all! After dealing with some issues with my Crohn’s Disease, I’m back writing for my blog. You know, I don’t know about you all, but I hate getting sick during the holidays. It totally throws me off my game and I get behind on everything. Thank goodness I have a wonderful, loving husband who is always there for me to pick up the slack. Thanks Honey! I love and appreciate you more every day.

While my husband is busy taking care of the things I didn’t get done for the holidays, I have been busy working on some projects to share with all of you. The first project being a card and ornament set that I made a few years ago for my family that I updated a little bit for the current holidays.

I absolutely love making cards for the holiday season for my family and friends, and if times allows I also love to create ornaments that match my cards. Your cards and ornaments don’t need to be elaborate unless you have the time and if that’s the case, I say go for it! Since my time is usually limited around the holidays, I like to keep my projects fairly simple, but always something fun! Snowmen are my favorite holiday characters and I wanted to create something with these cute snowman rubber stamps that I have. They were just perfect for the projects I wanted to create.

I hope that you’ll consider creating an ornament that matches your cards, because your card may get pitched out with the Christmas tree, but the ornament will be saved forever!

Thank you for joining me. Until next time…

Holidays at the Rojas House

December 2nd, 2010
Village- All

As I promised in my blog post this past Tuesday, today I want to share some pictures of what my house looks like during the holiday season. Be warned: These pictures are not for the weak of heart. The pictures you’re about to see are of a serious crafter! Or as my husband always likes to say, a crazy crafter!  Due to space, I didn’t include pictures of my kitchen and downstairs bathroom. I know it’s crazy but I decorate the bathroom too! Read on…

Let it Snow Holiday Centerpiece-Lt Side

You know, they say that the weather in Southern California never changes and for the most part, it’s true. But I live in the High Desert, and although our weather isn’t what you would call harsh, but we do have a snow day a few times in the winter and it does get cold. At least cold for Southern California! Read on…

Thanksgiving Garland

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 2 days away? That is so amazing to me. Time sure does fly when you’re having fun, right?

I really hate to admit it but Thanksgiving is the one holiday that has a tendency to get overlooked in my house. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the holiday and I have so much to be thankful for. Each year we spend Thanksgiving at my sister-in-law’s house where she does all the cooking and we do all of the eating! After dinner we sit around talking and laughing because we are much too stuffed to do anything else. The only thing missing from the day is my dad who passed away in 2001 and my mother-in-law who passed away in 2003. But just being together with the rest of the family is the greatest blessing we could have. Read on…

I have shared stories in my past blog posts about my love of my four-legged fur kids. My dogs are the loves of my life. I shared the loss of my beloved cocker spaniel, Tawnee Renee, and I even shared the new arrival of my miniature dachshund puppy, Ruby Renee. Since I haven’t written an update on my new puppy, I thought it was time to do so. Read on…

Ribbons & Beads Journal

This is another one of those projects that looks like it took you hours to create, but will actually only take you about one hour. And, the best part about this project is you can use up a lot of your scrap pieces from past projects, to create it.

With the holidays coming around the corner I am always looking for projects to create for my family and friends that won’t take me days to finish. The holidays are crazy enough without the stress of taking forever to make your gifts. But with that being said, I still would rather give my loved ones something that I made from my heart. Read on…
